Roll into the fall season with a rocking good time this Friday! The City of Thomasville’s First Friday Sip and Shop is set for Friday, October 7th from 6:00- 10:00 p.m. in Downtown Thomasville.
From 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., bring the family for a bite to eat at one of Downtown’s great restaurants, and enjoy extended shopping hours with many merchants. “Our local businesses are stocked with fall merchandise, so it’s a great opportunity to see what they have to offer,” said Madison Eaton, Tourism and Events Manager for the City of Thomasville. “It’s also a great opportunity to relax and enjoy a free concert in the heart of Thomasville.”
Mainstream Band will perform at The Ritz Amphitheater stage from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. This high energy South Georgia band plays a wide variety of genres and has opened for national acts like Blake Shelton and Montgomery Gentry as well as headlined large festivals throughout the area. “We enjoy featuring area bands at our First Friday events because it’s a great opportunity to showcase all the wonderful talent we have right here in Georgia,” noted Eaton.
Attendees can also sip and shop their way through Downtown Thomasville by picking up a free armband from participating businesses. Food trucks will also be setup at The Ritz Amphitheater beginning at 6 pm. First Friday Sip and Shop events are free and open to the public.
