Here in Downtown Thomasville, wreaths are being hung and lights are being strung because the holiday season is here! With a festive day of shopping, dining, and prizes, the Holiday Open House kicks off one of the best seasons in Thomasville! This year, the Holiday Open House will be held on Sunday, November 19 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
“The holidays are all about celebrating the values that bring us together in life, such as our friends and family,” said April Norton, Managing Director of Marketing & Communications. “The businesses in our downtown have prepared their shops and restaurants to welcome you this holiday season.”
Main Street will be sponsoring an exciting Downtown Dollars giveaway promotion during the Holiday Open House. For every $20 a shopper spends in-store during the event, customers will receive a ticket to enter into a drawing. Five tickets will be drawn to win $100 in Downtown Dollars gift certificates. Downtown Dollars can be spent at over one hundred shops and restaurants throughout the downtown. Several convenient ticket locations will be set up along the downtown streets. The lucky winners will be announced and notified by Monday, November 20.
The aroma from one of downtown’s many restaurants, cafes, or sweet shops, is sure to draw you in to enjoy some tasty treats, while you’re shopping. “Holiday Open House has become a cherished, one-stop-shopping experience for my family, says Brandy Avery, Main Street Manager. “It is a great way to tackle our Christmas lists while grabbing a bite to eat on a relaxing Sunday afternoon in beautiful South Georgia.”
Festive music will be playing throughout the downtown adding to the merry, holiday experience, and many windows and storefronts will feature imaginative holiday window displays. Which business storefront will be your favorite?
Booths will be located throughout downtown from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with information to help answer any questions guests may have. Public restrooms are available at The Ritz Amphitheater and Park, as well as on Remington Avenue behind Subway.
