It’s time again for the City of Thomasville’s First Friday Sip & Shop on June 2 from 6-10 PM. Extended dining and shopping hours, live music, and performances by Off Broadstreet Centre for the Dance Arts and The F.I.R.M. Dance Company are sure to entertain the whole family.
“Kids are out of school for the summer, and this is the perfect event for families looking for fun and engaging things to do,” said Special Events Manager Nicole Elwell. “Downtown Thomasville has a great range of shopping and dining options that are sure to fit the bill.”
With the continuing “Shop the Block” campaign, guests can browse through special discounts from participating businesses. A list of “Shop the Block” participants and their discounts can be found on the Downtown Thomasville Facebook page or by visiting thomasvillega.com.
“Supporting local businesses is really the backbone of our economy here,” said Main Street Manager Brandy Avery. “Between the special discounts and extended shopping hours, our First Friday events help the community in so many ways.”
This month’s free concert will feature Pensacola-based band Horseshoe Kitty from 8-10 PM at the Ritz Amphitheater. Inspired by the guitar-driven rock music of the 90’s, the group is known for their unending energy and staying true to the classics.
Before the concert starts, members of Off Broadstreet Centre for the Dance Arts and The F.I.R.M. Dance Company will perform numbers from their “Arabian Nights Reimagined” production. The performances will begin at 7:30 PM.
