City of Thomasville construction contractors will be working on sewer main improvements on Forrest Street between N. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Bay Street and on N. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive between Alexander Street and Felix Street. Work will begin on June 2, 2023 at 8 am and last approximately two (2) days.
There will be a temporary road closure on N. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive between Alexander Street and Felix Street and a temporary road closure on Forrest Street between N. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Bay Street while the sewer improvement work is being completed. Detour signs will be posted, and travelers in the area are encouraged to select an alternate route or to prepare for potential traffic delays. The road will be open to local traffic.
