Contractors are scheduled to begin work on Smith Avenue Monday, March 21, depending on weather conditions, to upgrade the stormwater drainage system. Work is expected to be completed in one night from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am.
A road closure will be necessary in order to provide a safe zone for road work and to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. The road closure will be at the intersection of Smith Avenue and Dawson Street. Travelers in the area will need to take the detour along Broad and Hansell Streets.
