THOMASVILLE ANNOUNCES FIRST FRIDAY SIP & SHOP EVENTS AND CONCERT LINE-UP FOR 2024

The City of Thomasville’s 2024 First Friday Sip & Shop concert series is finalized, kicking-off Friday, March 1. Guests are invited to shop and dine and enjoy a free concert in Downtown Thomasville.

From 5:00 – 10:00 p.m., guests can enjoy shopping and dining throughout Downtown Thomasville. Grab a beer or wine from participating businesses, look for great-finds at businesses with extended shopping hours and enjoy the free concert that will take place from 7-9 pm at The Ritz Amphitheater.

“Excitement is brewing this time of year when the weather gets warmer so we can enjoy our outdoor First Friday concert series and promote shopping and dining with our Downtown shops and restaurants,” said Nicole Elwell, Special Events Manager for the City of Thomasville. “We are excited to bring back some of our local bands who will be gracing our stage during this year’s First Friday Concert Series. We believe in supporting local artists and providing them with a platform to share their passion and creativity with a wider audience.”

August 2 Rock Mob
September 6 Mainstream Band
October 4 The Rusty Wright Band
November 1 Swamp Music - A Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute Band
December 6 Derrick Flowers

“This year’s concert series will feature a diverse lineup of talented artists, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy.”

Events like this not only bring the community together but support local businesses.

“Creating and promoting family events are beneficial for Downtown shops and restaurants and add strength to the unique tourist destination that Downtown Thomasville has become,” said Main Street Director Brandy Avery.

First Friday attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket to enjoy the free concert at The Ritz Amphitheater.
