“I am humbled and honored for this opportunity to serve and lead an organization that is as respected as the GSFA,” said Dukes. “Supporting and advocating for firefighters is something I am very passionate about. This opportunity allows me to give back to the brave men and women of the fire service across the state.”
Created in 1952, GSFA serves as the largest organization for firefighters in the State of Georgia with more than 3,500 members statewide. The GSFA is dedicated to supporting, representing, and advocating for firefighters across the state of Georgia. Dukes previously served as 1st Vice President of the GSFA. He brings years of dedicated service and leadership within Georgia's fire service community to his new role. His installation marks the beginning of a two-year term in which he will lead the association's continued mission of supporting, advocating for, and advancing the interests of firefighters across the state.
“Networking and educational opportunities offered by the GSFA are essential to the success of any fire service organization,” said Thomasville Fire Rescue Chief Tim Connell. “As President, Assistant Chief Dukes will proudly and professionally represent the TFR family while continuing to create opportunities for the men and women of our department. I am proud of his appointment and fully confident that he will serve the GSFA with humility, passion, and compassion.”
