TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE FOR FLEMING STREET

The City of Thomasville has announced upcoming utility work that will impact travelers along Fleming Street next week. Fleming, between West Jackson Street and Campbell Street, will be closed to thru traffic for utility work beginning Wednesday, November 28, 2018, through Thursday, November 29th. CNS CUSTOMERS IMPACTED BY LARGE TELEPHONE OUTAGE IN GEORGIA

CNS telephone customers in all communities began experiencing trouble with their telephone service Monday afternoon that was a result of a larger outage that impacted 29 areas in Georgia. The issues were first reported around 3:30 p.m. and were resolved at 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 20th. CITY EXTENDING HOURS FOR MICHAEL DEBRIS CLEANUP

As soon as Hurricane Michael’s winds subsided, City of Thomasville Solid Waste crews began working to remove debris caused by the massive storm that left more than 200 fallen trees and numerous broken limbs in its wake.
