Sealy with Thomasville Fire Rescue was recently recognized by the Board of Directors of the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) for achieving 20 consecutive years of National EMS Certification. CITY ANNOUNCES RESCHEDULED ‘LET’S DISCUSS UTILITIES’

Hurricane Michael caused many events to be cancelled or rescheduled in Thomasville, including the City of Thomasville’s ‘Let’s Discuss Utilities.’ A new date has now been set that will give citizens the opportunity to learn more about their utility rates and ways to save on their energy usage. CSX TRANSPORTATION TO REPLACE RAILROAD CROSSINGS

Beginning Monday, October 29th, CSX Transportation will begin replacing railroad crossings within the city limits of Thomasville. The closings will continue through Monday, November 5, 2018. Thomasville Fire Rescue’s Chief of Training Craig Dukes recently completed the process that awards the professional designation of “Chief Training Officer” (CTO). CITY RECEIVES $750,000 GRANT FOR INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT

During last week’s fall conference for the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (GDCA), the City of Thomasville was officially recognized as one of 60 Georgia communities to receive a combined total of more than $40 million in federal assistance to help grow their local economies.
