CITY OF THOMASVILLE ANNOUNCES OPERATIONAL CHANGES TO LANDFILL

The City of Thomasville has announced operational changes to the Thomasville-Thomas County Municipal Solid Waste Landfill. Effective January 1, 2021, the landfill, located at 88 County Landfill Road, will operate from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Saturdays. ROAD AND LANE CLOSURES SCHEDULED FOR SOUTH PINETREE BOULEVARD

Contractors will begin work along South Pinetree Boulevard beginning Monday, January 4th. Crews will replace two culverts at the intersection of Longleaf Drive and South Pinetree Boulevard. The work is scheduled between the hours of 7:00 am and 6:00 pm and is expected to last two to four weeks. LIFT STATION UPGRADES SET TO BEGIN

The Thomasville City Council recently awarded a contract to RPI Underground Utility Contractors out of Valdosta, Georgia to upgrade the existing Lift Stations #7 and #8, located at the southwest corner of South Pinetree Boulevard and Old Monticello Road and the intersection of South Pinetree Boulevard and Longleaf Drive, respectively.
