WATER MAIN BREAK IN THE EAST JACKSON STREET/BELMONT DRIVE AREA

Customers between the 900-1300 blocks of East Jackson Street may be experiencing low water pressure. Crews are currently working to repair a water main break at East Jackson Street and Belmont Drive. At this time, we do not have an estimated time when water service will be fully restored, but crews are working as quickly as possible.

Beginning Friday, July 14, 2017, Remington Avenue from South Hansell Street to Kern Street will be closed to thru traffic. WORK BEGINS AT CHEROKEE LAKE PARK

The improvement project announced previously by the City of Thomasville for Cherokee Lake Park is now officially underway, with the goal to fully return one of Thomasville’s most popular green spaces to the community in early 2018. Beginning Wednesday, July 5, 2017, the Natural Gas Department will close the inside eastbound lane on East Jackson Street between Hadley Drive and Cottage Lane so that repairs can be made to a natural gas line valve at this location. The City of Thomasville’s Water Treatment Plant provides award-winning quality water to Thomasville.
