TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF STEVENS STREET

A portion of Stevens Street remains closed today after a water main burst last night. Emergency repairs were completed to a City of Thomasville Utilities water main located near the corner of Stevens Street and Jerger Street around 11 p.m., June 27, 2018. City of Thomasville Utilities will be conducting sewer main repairs in the downtown area of Crawford and East Jackson Street on Saturday, June 16, 2018. Utility Work on Remington Avenue begins Monday, June 11, 2018

THOMASVILLE, GA – June 5, 2018 – The City of Thomasville Utilities will be conducting utility infrastructure upgrades on Remington Avenue beginning Monday, June 11, 2018. 2018 HURRICANE PREPAREDNESS

Today marks the first official day of hurricane season, and top weather analysts are predicting an active 2018 season. Last season saw a record number of seventeen named storms, ten hurricanes and six major hurricanes, with Hurricane Irma taking a direct swipe at our area. SATURDAY CONSTRUCTION ON CRAWFORD STREET

Beginning Saturday, June 2, 2018, the southbound lane of Crawford Street from East Jackson Street to East Jefferson Street will be closed to thru traffic. The lane will be temporarily closed to facilitate a new wastewater service line installation. During the construction period, local traffic will be accommodated.
