THOMASVILLE CITY COUNCIL ANNOUNCES CALLED MEETING

The Thomasville City Council will be meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday March 24, 2020. The purpose of the meeting is to consider on first and second reading under resolution of emergency a new Chapter 7 Emergency Management Ordinance of the Code of Ordinances. The purpose of considering this ordinance is to update the emergency management procedures and powers of the City. The meeting will also consider on first and second reading under resolution of emergency an Ordinance to Declare a Local State of Emergency and Authorize Meetings in conformity with O.C.G.A. 50-14-1(g). The meeting will be held in Council Chambers of the Municipal Building, located at 144 East Jackson Street.

“This meeting of the Thomasville City Council has been called in order to continue moving forward with the necessary plan of action that will best serve our community and its citizens,” said Alan Carson, City of Thomasville City Manager. Click here to read the ordinance in its entirety.

Meetings of the Thomasville City Council are open to the public.
