Roth ID Tag - Fire Rescue

Roth ID Tag Program

Thomasville Fire Rescue has teamed up with the Julie Roth Memorial Foundation to promote the ROTH ID TAG™ and teach parents, first responders, and medical professionals how to use it effectively.

On December 23, 2022, Julie Roth was traveling with her two young children and was pregnant with her third when they were involved in a 47-car pile-up on the Ohio Turnpike. Sadly, Julie and her unborn baby, Edna Rose, did not survive, but her two other children did. Injured and afraid, the two surviving children waited hours to be identified. In emergencies like this, when a parent or guardian is unable to speak, first responders often find themselves with frightened, sometimes injured, children who cannot share important information. Julie’s family created the tag system to easily attach to a child's car seat, allowing for quick identification in emergencies.

Thomasville Fire Rescue is covering the cost of the Roth ID Tags and providing them free of charge to Thomasville residents. If you're interested in this program, please complete the form below, and we will let you know when your Roth ID Tag kit is ready for pick-up.
