COORDINATED RESPONSE TO STORM PREPAREDNESS FOR CITY DEPARTMENTS

The beginning of the Atlantic hurricane season begins in June, but the City of Thomasville began prepping for the busy storm season months ago. PROGRESS CONTINUES AT CHEROKEE LAKE

While there have been delays in an improvement project for one of Thomasville’s most popular parks, City staff reports that construction continues at Cherokee Lake. TOURISM IN THOMASVILLE CREATES ECONOMIC IMPACT

The numbers are in and it is official - tourism is growing in Thomasville and across the state of Georgia. Thomasville Fire Rescue’s Tim Connell was among 79 fellow fire professionals from around the state to receive certification from the Georgia Association of Fire Chiefs. DELAYED REOPENING OF EAST JACKSON STREET IGNITES IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVE

Last Thursday, City of Thomasville Utilities’ Wastewater Department began a project to replace a sanitary sewer service line that crossed East Jackson Street.
