CITY OF THOMASVILLE CELEBRATES MILESTONE AWARDS

The City of Thomasville recently held a breakfast honoring several employees for their years of service to the community. The service awards honored employees who achieved milestone years of service including five, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years of service. ROAD CLOSURE FOR NORTH SPAIR STREET

City of Thomasville Utility crews will begin work along North Spair Street on Tuesday, March 17th. Crews will be repairing a wastewater main between East Monroe and East Washington Street. The work is scheduled to take place between of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m, and is expected to last approximately 3-4 weeks. This past Saturday, Thomasville Fire Rescue partnered with American Red Cross of South Georgia to help install smoke alarms for local residents. TPD K-9 UNIT WINS AWARDS AT K-9 TRIALS

The Thomasville Police Department’s K-9 unit has recently returned from the United States Police Canine Association (USCPA) annual K9 Competition and Certifications, where TPD earned high marks in all phases of competition. The event, held February 20-24, in Brandon, Mississippi (Region 26) included events in areas such as Obedience, Agility, Narcotics Detection, and Criminal Apprehension.
