The IT Director provides leadership, vision, and management to the Information Technology department; is responsible for providing day to day supervision for the Network Administrators, IT Project Manager, IT Compliance Coordinator, IT Support Manager and IT Application Support Manager; works with IT staff to ensure the department complies with the standards and processes that are defined for Information Technology; act as key escalation point for all IT issues. Ensures the department maintains the resources to meets all organizational goals, objectives and expectations of City Leadership.
The successful candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information science or management information systems (MIS) with 5+ years of management experience in an IT environment. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers; must possess good oral/written communication skills and must have strong analytical and logical problem solving skills. Candidate must have strong working knowledge of computer networking and software applications.
Starting salary is based on experience. Open until filled.
Candidate must have experience in accounts payable, general ledger, account reconciliation and financial statement preparation. Experience in governmental or fund accounting is preferred. Previous experience on computerized accounting software, Excel spreadsheets and automated financial systems is required. Ideal candidate should also possess excellent presentation, communication, problem-solving and computer skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is required.
Starting salary is $19.50/hr. Position is open until filled.
Position assists City Engineer providing management and leadership for the Engineering Department. Independently applies extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields while working closely with the City Engineer and other staff members in the design and construction management of a wide range of municipal projects. This position will be responsible for a major project and multiple projects of moderate scope with complex features.
Ideal candidates will have knowledge of Municipal, Public Works and Utility Engineering and construction standard techniques and procedures. Good communications and organizational skills a must. Candidate should be Licensed in the State of Georgia or able to obtain same within 6 months of hire. Candidate must have 8+ years of progressive experience and be a graduate from a four year accredited Engineering School.
