Human Resources

The purpose of the Human Resources Department is to recruit and hire qualified candidates, train and develop employees, maintain employee relations, maintain the City’s culture, manage employee benefits, create a safe work environment and handle disciplinary actions. The HR staff has affiliations with the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), Local Government Risk Management Services (LGRMS), Public Risk Management Association (PRIMA), the Georgia Local Government Personnel Association (GLGPA) and the International Personnel Management Association (IPMA).

Community Outreach

The purpose of the Community Outreach Division is to create and support mutual partnerships with the wider community through, outreach events, education, resources, services, and community engagement.

Risk Management

The purpose of the Risk Management Department is to plan, develop and implement safety policies and procedures and training which will enable our employees to protect revenue and assets, facilitate good judgment, and to efficiently use our resources to accomplish organizational goals.

Benefits & Wellness

The purpose of the Benefits and Wellness Program is to provide comprehensive benefits, services and wellness programs to eligible employees, retirees, and their dependents that meet and anticipate their individual needs, assure the City’s competitiveness with other employers to attract and retain employees, maximize cost effectiveness and assure optimal health and productivity of the employee.
