CITY WELCOMES COMMUNITY INPUT DURING PARADISE PARK DESIGN CHARRETTE

Posted on

The City of Thomasville’s Planning Department has scheduled a design charrette for Paradise Park to be held November 26th-29th. Martha Reynolds, Neighborhood Planner for the City of Thomasville, says community input is needed. “We value the opinions of those who utilize our beautiful parks,” says Reynolds. “That is why we’ve created this unique four-day event that is an opportunity for everyone in our community to give us feedback on what they envision for the future of Paradise Park.”

The event kicks off with a walk through of Paradise Park at 4:00 pm on Monday, November 26th. After that, the community is invited to drop-in to the Thomasville-Thomas County Chamber of Commerce VOOM Room on November 27th and 28th from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm to give feedback. The public is also invited to the Open House at 6:00 pm on the 27th and 28th.

The charrette concludes with a work-in-progress presentation in the Thomasville-Thomas County Chamber of Commerce VOOM Room at 7:00 pm on November 29th. “We hope the community will join us in planning the future of this historic downtown park,” says Reynolds. “Together we can make an already beautiful park even better.”

Paradise Park is located at 403 South Broad Street. The Thomasville-Thomas County Chamber of Commerce is located at 401 South Broad Street. For more information on the design charrette at Paradise Park, please contact Martha Reynolds at 229-227-4008.
