TFR BEGINS HYDRANT TESTING

July 15, 2016 – Thomasville Fire Rescue will begin testing fire hydrants beginning Sunday, July 17, 2016. The process to test more than 1,000 hydrants located throughout Thomasville will take approximately one month to complete. WORK ON BROAD STREET CONTINUES

On Monday, July 11, 2016, the City will continue the project to improve the portion of Broad Street between Remington Avenue and Smith Avenue. Phase 1 of the project involved uncovering the historic brick pavers on this section of Broad Street. The next phase of the project will involve improving the curb and gutter in this area. REMINGTON AVENUE DETOUR

Remington Avenue at Stevens Street will be closed to all traffic on June 22 for water infrastructure improvements. Work is expected to be completed by day's end. Citizens are advised to expect delays when traveling through the area and to plan alternate routes.
