CITY AWARDED MULTIPLE GRANTS FOR PARK RENOVATIONS PROJECTS

The City of Thomasville recently received multiple grant awards from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to assist with park renovation projects at Balfour Park and Paradise Park. A $500,000 grant from the Land & Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) will assist with Balfour Park renovations that are projected to provide citizens with a central pavilion, new restrooms, playground equipment, a water feature, and parking enhancements. THOMASVILLE CITY COUNCIL APPROVES NEW STORMWATER ORDINANCE AND UTILITY

During regular session on Monday, July 28, the Thomasville City Council approved a new ordinance establishing a stormwater utility.
