The City of Thomasville will celebrate “Georgia Cities Week” April 24-30. This celebration allows cities across Georgia opportunities to share information about the valuable services they offer.

On Monday, the City of Thomasville will kick-off a social media campaign featuring staff members identifying some of the city services offered and how these services positively impact Thomasville’s quality of life. Utility services, community outreach, and recreation are some of the topics that will be featured.

“We’re proud of our city and the services we provide that make it attractive to residents and visitors,” said City Manager Alan Carson. “We provide the services and infrastructure to help businesses grow and set the stage for events where families and individuals can gather as a community.”

Georgia Cities Week is sponsored by the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA). Based in Atlanta, GMA is a voluntary, non-profit organization that provides legislative advocacy, educational, employee benefit and consulting services to its 538 member cities.
