On October 31, 2018, new stop signs will be installed within the Tuxedo Dr. neighborhood. The new locations include:
- Tuxedo Dr. at Plantation Dr.
- Tuxedo Dr. at Executive Dr.
- Tuxedo Dr. at Nottingham Dr.
- Wimbledon Dr. at Tuxedo Dr.
Over the last year, citizens living in the Tuxedo Drive area have approached the City of Thomasville with safety concerns regarding traffic in the neighborhood. After reviewing traffic counts and speed studies, the signs will be installed on a trial basis to see how traffic is impacted. In addition to the new stop signs, other traffic signs including warning curve signs and speed limit signs will also be installed.
Installation of the new signs will begin on October 29th, with painting of stop bars and removal of sign covers to follow on October 31st. For more information, please call 227-3263.
