The City of Thomasville’s 2021 First Friday Sip and Shop series continues on Friday, April 2nd. Attendees are invited to sip and shop throughout the downtown event area from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
“The weather is warming up for spring and it’s the perfect time for you to spend your Friday evening in Downtown Thomasville,” said Madison Eaton, Special Event Coordinator. “These events are a fun way for guests to support our local economy by shopping at the small locally-owned businesses that are the backbone of our community.”
The event begins at 6:00 p.m. and guests can enjoy their favorite beer or wine from participating downtown businesses while sipping and shopping throughout beautiful downtown Thomasville. “Our Sip and Shop guests will enjoy music throughout the event area while shopping and dining with your favorite shops and restaurants,” said Eaton. “The extended shopping and dining hours, along with our outdoor seating areas located throughout downtown, provide visitors a chance to relax and stay awhile.”
Eaton says that all City sponsored events continue to follow the CDC guidelines for public health as well as the Executive Orders from the Governor. “Providing our guests with healthy, safe, and socially distanced opportunities while supporting our downtown merchants remains a top priority for us,” said Eaton. “We encourage our downtown guests to practice safe social distancing and good hand hygiene while enjoying their visit. Handwashing stations are strategically located throughout the downtown area, and all public restrooms and outdoor seating areas are also regularly sanitized.”
“We are thrilled to continue our First Friday Sip and Shop series in April after a successful March event,” said Eaton. “Although this monthly well-loved community tradition may be taking place in a modified form, we are confident that our guests will once again be treated to a great evening in beautiful Downtown Thomasville.”
