Balfour Park Visioning Project

The City of Thomasville is initiating an exciting new project - the Balfour Park Visioning project. The purpose of this project is to create a master plan of park improvements for Balfour Park. In support of this effort, we are launching a public input campaign that focuses on the future of Balfour Park, and we’ve hired a professional design team from Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. to help us bring the community’s vision to life!

What to Expect

We’ll use the 2023 Thomasville Parks and Recreation Master Plan’s recommendations for Balfour Park (and Varnedoe Park) as a starting point, and we’ll rely on the community’s input to help us determine and prioritize the future features and programming at Balfour Park. Using these insights, the design team will create a master plan of phased park improvements and develop a design concept for Phase 1 implementation and construction.
