May 2026
Renovations at Cassidy Park are continuing to make steady progress, with several improvements taking shape.
- The new walking trail that will circle Cassidy Pond is nearly complete.
- Concrete pads have been installed for benches along the trail.
- Crews are currently clearing trees to make way for new restroom facilities and a pavilion, which will provide additional comfort and gathering space at the park.
- Concrete disc golf tee pads are being installed for the disc golf course, adding a new recreational feature to the park.
For continued safety, Cassidy Park remains temporarily closed, particularly as tree removal continues near the park entrance.

April 2026
Work continues on the Cassidy Park Renovation Project. Additional sidewalks have been poured. Old asphalt has been removed in preparation for the creation of the new parking area. The park remains closed as work continues.
March 2026
Work began this month, beginning with the installation of a new concrete sidewalk that will connect the Grove Pointe Subdivision to a scenic walking trail circling Cassidy Pond, making it easier for residents to access and enjoy the space.
In the wooded area of the park, clearing has begun to prepare for the installation of a new disc golf course, made possible through a partnership with the Red Hills Disc Golf Association and Hands On Thomas County.
As of March 23, this park will be temporarily closed for the next 8-10 weeks for safety purposes.
