Utilities Response Center
The Utilities Response Center serves as the City of Thomasville’s 24/7 monitoring and trouble reporting division. With at least two operators on shift at all times, the Utilities Response Center constantly monitors the City of Thomasville’s various utility grids – electric, natural gas, water and wastewater – as well as providing after hours customer support for CNSNext.
Utilities Response Center staff utilize an automated outage management and reporting system to monitor, manage and, where possible, correct electric service interruptions. This system also uses Caller ID technology to automatically match customers’ phone numbers to their City of Thomasville Utilities account information, which helps to pinpoint outage locations and enhance the City’s electric crews’ ability to quickly and efficiently respond to and resolve issues.
The phone number to call to report an issue is (229) 227-5499. All customers that report a utilities issue will receive an automated response from the Utilities Response Center once the given issue has been resolved.
As a courtesy to our customers, the Utilities Response Center takes payments after hours from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for customers disconnected for non-payment of their bill. There is a service charge for all after hours reconnections and new account service.
