Commercial Dumpster Service
The City of Thomasville’s ordinance allows its Commercial customers three (3) choices for garbage removal:
- Utilize the City of Thomasville Solid Waste Division service – Commercial Barrel (96 gallon container) or Dumpster – 4 cubic yd., 6 cubic yd., or 8 cubic yd.
- Utilize another company and provide the Solid Waste Division with agreement/receipt of payment to vendor – monitored on an annual basis.
- Establish a Landfill account for disposal. The account must show evidence of activity at least twice (2 times) per year.
Businesses who choose our Dumpster service may choose the size of the dumpster, day(s) of pick up (Monday – Friday), and the type of container (see below). The cost of this service is based on the size of the container and the number of times a week the container is serviced.

Sizes/Types of Dumpsters
Dumpsters are available in the following sizes:
- 4 Cubic Yard
- 6 Cubic Yard
- 8 Cubic Yard
Slant Top - These dumpsters have plastic lids that can be lifted open in order to dispose of the garbage from the top of the container.
Side Door - These dumpsters have plastic lids as well as side doors that slide open.
Lockable Container - When utilizing this type of container, the customer is responsible for furnishing the lock(s) and providing the Solid Waste Division with a key or combination to the lock. A lockable container prevents the dumpster from being used by outside parties.
