Utility Work on Remington Avenue begins Monday, June 11, 2018

THOMASVILLE, GA – June 5, 2018 – The City of Thomasville Utilities will be conducting utility infrastructure upgrades on Remington Avenue beginning Monday, June 11, 2018. The utility work will include the replacement of a sanitary sewer main as well as the replacement of a water main. Work will begin at 7:00 a.m. on Monday and continue until Tuesday, June 12th at 5:00 p.m. During this time, Remington Avenue will be closed to thru traffic from West Jackson Street to Fletcher Street....

CHIEF RICH HONORED BY THOMAS COUNTY BRANCH OF THE NAACP

2018 HURRICANE PREPAREDNESS

Today marks the first official day of hurricane season, and top weather analysts are predicting an active 2018 season. Last season saw a record number of seventeen named storms, ten hurricanes and six major hurricanes, with Hurricane Irma taking a direct swipe at our area. SATURDAY CONSTRUCTION ON CRAWFORD STREET

Beginning Saturday, June 2, 2018, the southbound lane of Crawford Street from East Jackson Street to East Jefferson Street will be closed to thru traffic. The lane will be temporarily closed to facilitate a new wastewater service line installation. During the construction period, local traffic will be accommodated. Work is expected to begin at 7:00 a.m. and be completed by 5:00 p.m.

PROGRESS CONTINUES AT CHEROKEE LAKE
