CITY RECEIVES $750,000 GRANT FOR INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT

Georgia Governor Brian Kemp recently recognized the City of Thomasville as one of 60 Georgia communities that will receive a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). In 2021, CDBGs with a combined total of $43 million have been issued throughout the state. CITY OF THOMASVILLE TO APPLY FOR DEWEY CITY CDBG GRANT

The City of Thomasville is currently pursuing a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) of up to $750,000 through the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) to fund infrastructure improvements in and around the Dewey City neighborhood. “Funding from the CDBG grant would provide water, sewer, and drainage improvements that address community needs around the Dewey City neighborhood,” said Kenneth Thompson, City Planner. “These improvements were identified based on the volume...
