The Thomasville Police Department recently participated in an autism safety training course to gain a better understanding of autism and learn effective ways to approach someone on the autism spectrum. THOMASVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT WELCOMES NEW K-9 TO THE FORCE

The Thomasville Police Department (TPD) recently welcomed a new member to their family. Apollo, a two-year-old German Shepherd, is the latest K-9 recruit assigned to serve and protect the Thomasville community. The Thomasville Police Department (TPD), along with the Thomas County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO), recently received a donation of $13,339.00 from SERVPRO of Thomas, Colquitt and Grady Counties for their Annual Law Enforcement Goodwill Project. The Thomasville Police Department (TPD) warns that reports have been received regarding attempts to scam City of Thomasville Utilities customers. According to Corporal Crystal Parker, customers have received phone calls from individuals demanding immediate payment by telephone for utility services. Corporal Parker said that the most recent scam involves an individual falsely claiming to be a City of Thomasville employee and asking customers to immediately pay delinquent utility accounts...
