ROAD CLOSURE SCHEDULED FOR NORTH SIDE OF WEST JACKSON STREET BETWEEN STEVENS STREET AND REMINGTON AVENUE

The 300 block of West Jackson Street will be closed beginning November 5th at 7:00 a.m. from North Stevens Street to Remington Avenue while road construction and installation of a median are completed. Businesses will remain open and have front-door access for custmers. The road closure is expected to last approximately one and one-half weeks. VETERANS DAY CITY SERVICES SCHEDULE

The City of Thomasville administrative offices will be closed Monday, November 11, 2019, in observance of the Veterans Day Holiday. As a result, some City services will be affected. City services’ schedules are as follows: Utilities Response Center Regular, 24-hour operational schedule. CITY OF THOMASVILLE WANTS YOUR HELP NAMING DOG DECOYS AT CHEROKEE LAKE

Cherokee Lake Park is a great park for picnics, exercise, and playtime. It is also a great time to enjoy nature, including geese that are fond of the park. LANE CLOSURE SCHEDULED FOR NORTH SIDE OF WEST JACKSON STREET BETWEEN STEVENS STREET AND REMINGTON AVENUE

Construction has begun on the north side (outbound lane) of the 300 block of West Jackson Street. The north side of West Jackson Street will be closed from North Stevens Street to Lee Street while pedestrian crossings and sidewalks are being installed. Thomasville Fire Rescue recently announced the completion of renovations to Station Two, located at 1750 South Pinetree Boulevard. To celebrate the newly renovated facility, TFR will be hosting an Open House for the community on October 17th from 5:30 – 8:00 pm.
