TPD ANNOUNCES SCHOOL ZONE SAFETY PROGRAM

The Thomasville Police Department has announced a new initiative that is targeted at making school zones safer for our community’s youngest citizens. TPD’s School Zone Safety Program, a comprehensive program aimed at protecting students in school zones and making schools safer, was announced today by Chief Troy Rich. WASTEWATER WORK SCHEDULED FOR W. LOOMIS ST. AND SOUTH ST. INTERSECTION

City of Thomasville crews will begin work at the intersection of West Loomis Street and South Street beginning Monday, August 26th. The work being completed will include the installation of an additional sanitary wastewater main to improve flow through the system. Work on the storm drain crossing will begin Thursday, August 22nd and will occur between the hours of 8:00 am and 12:00 pm. CITY OF THOMASVILLE ACHIEVES LOCAL ADMINISTERED PROJECTS CERTIFICATION

Construction has begun on the south side (inbound lane) of the 200 and 300 blocks of West Jackson Street. One-way vehicular traffic and on-street parking are available on the north side (outbound lane) of West Jackson Street. WEST JACKSON STREETSCAPE CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES
