WASTEWATER IMPROVEMENTS PLANNED ON EAST PINETREE BOULEVARD

Beginning on Monday, April 15, East Pinetree Boulevard will be closed between Old Monticello Road and Hollywood Drive in order to complete several necessary repairs to wastewater lines. To minimize traffic delays, City of Thomasville utility crews will begin working the evening of April 15 starting at 10:00 pm. The work is expected to last into the morning of Tuesday, April 16. Members of the Thomasville Police Department staff recently graduated from Basic Mandate Training in Tifton, Georgia. Basic Mandate Training is an 11-week program for post certified peace officers, and is required in the state of Georgia. TPD WARNS OF UTILITY PAYMENT SCAM

The Thomasville Police Department warns that reports have been received by TPD regarding attempts to scam City of Thomasville Utilities customers. According to Eric Hampton, Assistant Chief, businesses and individuals are receiving calls demanding immediate payment by telephone for utility services. “These types of calls are not unusual, and they are a fairly common method for scamming unsuspecting people out of money,” said Hampton. “A good rule of thumb is to never, ever provide...

BUDGET BILLING ENROLLMENT PERIOD OPEN DURING THE MONTH OF APRIL

The City of Thomasville is now accepting applications for the Budget Billing Program. The Budget Billing Program gives utilities customers an additional way to help manage their utilities budgets, with payment options that can be helpful when excessive temperatures may cause increased monthly utility usage.
