CITY OF THOMASVILLE SUBMITS CDBG HOUSING GRANT

The City of Thomasville has submitted an application to the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) that, if awarded, will bring housing improvements to the Fletcherville community. APPLICATIONS OPEN FOR COUNCIL TEMPORARY VACANCY

The City of Thomasville is now accepting applications to fill the temporary vacancy that exists on the Thomasville City Council. The vacancy was created after Governor Brian Kemp issued an order on March 25, 2019, suspending Mayor Greg Hobbs from office. The temporary appointment will last until the case against Mayor Hobbs is finally disposed of or until Mayor Hobbs’ term of office ends, whichever comes first. WASTEWATER IMPROVEMENTS PLANNED ON EAST PINETREE BOULEVARD

Beginning on Monday, April 15, East Pinetree Boulevard will be closed between Old Monticello Road and Hollywood Drive in order to complete several necessary repairs to wastewater lines. The Thomasville Police Department warns that reports have been received by TPD regarding attempts to scam City of Thomasville Utilities customers.
