THOMASVILLE CITY COUNCIL APPROVES NEW STORMWATER ORDINANCE AND UTILITY

During regular session on Monday, July 28, the Thomasville City Council approved a new ordinance establishing a stormwater utility. The ordinance gives the City authority to bill stormwater services for residential and commercial customers within city limits. City leadership expects to implement the utility fee in early 2026. City of Thomasville leaders recently traveled to Washington, D.C. to advocate for the reinstatement of their $19.8 million Community Change Grant that was terminated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on May 1, 2025. EMERGENCY TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ON MAGNOLIA STREET BETWEEN SCHOOL AVENUE AND 5TH AVENUE

City of Thomasville Water Department staff will begin repairing a water service on Magnolia Street at 8 a.m. on July 22.
