The City of Thomasville will hold a Fletcherville Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Public Closeout Meeting on Tuesday, November 9th at 5:30 p.m. Citizens are invited to join City staff for a wrap-up discussion about the process and completed projects. TPD RECEIVES DONATION FOR ANNUAL LAW ENFORCEMENT GOODWILL PROJECT

The Thomasville Police Department (TPD), along with the Thomas County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO), recently received a donation of $13,339.00 from SERVPRO of Thomas, Colquitt and Grady Counties for their Annual Law Enforcement Goodwill Project. TEMPORARY LANE CLOSURE SCHEDULED FOR JEFFERSON STREET

City of Thomasville utility crews are scheduled to replace a wastewater main and connected service lines on Jefferson Street between Dawson Street and Love Street beginning on Monday, November 1, 2021. The project is expected to last two months. The westbound lane will be temporarily closed to through traffic while the work is being completed. The Thomasville Police Department (TPD) warns that reports have been received regarding attempts to scam City of Thomasville Utilities customers. According to Corporal Crystal Parker, customers have received phone calls from individuals demanding immediate payment by telephone for utility services. Georgia Governor Brian Kemp recently recognized the City of Thomasville as one of 60 Georgia communities that will receive a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG).
