This month is Natural Gas Appreciation Month, a month that celebrates the power of this important resource. CHEROKEE LAKE IMPROVEMENTS IN FULL SWING

Construction has officially begun at Cherokee Lake Park. The project was started last summer and will include repairs to the spillway dam and a widened trail on the west side, among other repairs and enhancements. The project will also connect the park’s walking paths to the 15-mile Community Trail, which will ultimately connect all city parks and neighborhoods. The 97th Annual Rose Show and Festival will be held Thursday-Saturday, April 26th-28th in beautiful Thomasville, Georgia. James “Jack” Hadley, a native of Thomasville, was born at Pebble Hill Plantation in Thomas County in 1936 to the late Dennis and Rosetta James Hadley. He was one of 15 children. He graduated from Douglass High School in June 1956 and enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served his country for twenty‑eight years.
